More than 10 million Syrians are displaced within their own country or have been forced out.

At a time of unprecedented crisis for Syrian refugees, FilmAid is expanding and deepening its work in Jordan, to provide information and empowerment to women, youth, and children.

In March 2014, FilmAid was one of 130 organizations from 27 countries that participated in the #WithSyria campaign to send a message to the world’s leaders: don’t let the people of Syria lose another year to bloodshed and suffering.

FilmAid’s screening of the Palme d'Or-winning film, Le Ballon Rouge ("The Red Balloon"), to an enraptured audience of Syrian children, brought much needed joy to those displaced by the on-going tragedy in Syria nearly 60 years after its production

We are currently developing a program in Jordan that will provide information and empowerment to those who have been displaced by the conflict.

  • 6.45 million population
